TAXI FROM CUSCO TO PUENTE Q’ESWACHAKA

Private transportation from Cusco to Puente Q’eswachaka

The Q’eswachaka Bridge is the last Inca suspension bridge that is rebuilt by hand every year using traditional techniques. This tour offers a deep cultural immersion, connecting you directly with the engineering, history, and living traditions of the Inca Empire in a spectacular landscape.

The Living Bridge: Q’eswachaka is not a ruin; it is a functional structure nearly 30 meters long made entirely of plant fiber (the Andean grass q’oya). Every year, local communities gather to dismantle the old bridge and weave and install a new one, keeping a tradition alive that dates back more than 500 years.

Inca Engineering: Witness the Inca ingenuity that allowed their messengers (Chasquis) to quickly connect the vast empire.

Lakes and Volcanoes Route: The journey traverses the beautiful Southern Valley and often includes stops along the way to view Andean lakes and, on occasion, the dormant Pabellones volcano, enriching the tour’s landscape.
